When they entered their house, they were shocked. Their house was almost completely destroyed.
Shattered tiles, broken furniture, destroyed walls and floors. It was also full of empty beer cans and wine bottles.
That’s when the reality began to hit, there had been a party at their house.
Nearly 300 young people had broken into their home and partied like there was no tomorrow.
Damages worth over $10,000
In addition to breaking in and destroying the house, several of the youth also filmed the party and published their videos on social media.
Mike and his wife were, of course, upset about what happened and really wanted to get to the bottom of it.
How and why did the teenagers choose their house? How did they know that they wouldn’t be home?
It would appear that one of the youth saw that the house, worth almost $2million, was put for sale and they assumed that it was empty as a new owner was being sought.
That the couple was out that night was simply bad luck.
The incident can be compared to the movie ”Project X”, based on the true story of 16-year-old Corey Worthington from Australia who had a party when his parents were absent.
The party led to the destruction of the entire neighborhood. Police officers were attacked and neighbors had to be rescued. Corey was interviewed on television and did not seem to be particularly regretful at all.
