It could be humble beginnings that are behind Mars having such a charitable heart … we don’t know. The fact he does, though, can never be called into question.
Over the years, Mars has shown that he remains well in touch with the plight of those less fortunate than he is.
One only needs to look back to 2014 for evidence of his compassion. As per Inquisitr, it was then that the singer auctioned off a backstage pass to one of his shows, with the proceeds going to a school that educates children with ADHD and other special needs.
The pass in question sold for a five-figure sum.
But that’s the least of it when it comes to Mars and his gestures. That very same year, according to Rappler, he gave $100,000 of his money to the Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation Inc. to help Filipino children in the aftermath of Typhoon Yolanda.
In 2017, meanwhile, he gave more than twice that sum to the Community Foundation of Greater Flint – a nonprofit organization aiming to deal with the drinking-water crisis affecting the area.
Still not impressed? Well, not content with simply boasting a well-earned reputation as a philanthropist, Mars continues to give.
As per ABC, the singer celebrated the end of his 24K Magic World Tour on Sunday night by picking up the dinner tab for a whopping 24,000 Hawaiians. Mars reportedly did so by donating money to the 48th annual Thanksgiving Dinner meal program.
His funds covered the cost for 24,000 people to have a thanksgiving meal … we don’t even want to imagine how much that might have set him back.
What a great guy Bruno Mars truly is! Not only does he continue to give to those in need, but he’s an amazingly talented musician to boot.
