One woman was so disappointed with the ring her boyfriend proposed to her with, she took to social media to blast it.
In a private Facebook group she said that she was so horrified by the pearl and gold ring, she wondered if he was joking.
“It took just about everything in me to not laugh and question whether this was real life or not,” she wrote.
The woman clearly said yes as she is pictured in a Cafemom article wearing the ring, so her husband-to-be must be doing something right.
She also said that after a wearing it a few days she’s got used to it.
“I definitely wish it was something different, but oh well…it was his grandmother’s and the pearl is my birthstone…I think that’s the only reason I’ve been able to tolerate it,” she added.
The post prompted countless responses, some blasting her for being so ungrateful and others shocked at the ugliness of the ring.
Many comments disagreed with her posting her thoughts about the ring on social media, despite it being a private group.
Many supported her view on the ring but was embarrassed for her that she took her complaints to a Facebook page, instead of just discussing it with her girlfriends.
One person did point out that she had posted in a private group concerning engagement rings, which indicates she may not have trusted her first thoughts about the ring and was looking for other views.
Others supported her view of the pearl engagement ring and thought she was being judged too harshly.
But most people agreed that the ring wasn’t the most beautiful they had ever seen.
