Teen applies to 20 top colleges – gets in, but all of the answers have something in common

With a 4.68 grade point average, a SAT score of 1540 out of 1600, and an ACT score of 34 from a possible 36, Micheal aimed to be accepted by Stanford University.

Not content with Stanford alone, however, he also applied to 19 others. His top eight picks included the likes of Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Northwestern, Vanderbilt, Georgetown and the University of Pennsylvania.

Yet, as previously mentioned, it’s extremely difficult to get into such places. Despite his academic merits, internships and overall top class conduct, Micheal wasn’t completely sure he’d be accepted.

When he and his mom went to a friend’s house to check his Stanford application status, Micheal had his fingers crossed as tightly as possible. After logging in and seeing what was on the screen, however, he lost his composure.

Accepted and more

Not only was Micheal accepted into his dream university, but what followed was acceptances from every single school he’d applied for – the response was beyond his wildest imaginations.

It got even better though. Micheal hadn’t just been admitted, he was also given a full scholarship to every single one.

As per Liftable, his proud mom said: “He actually earned it. I always knew Mike would get into a good school. I always knew he’d get good scholarship support. But I never imagined this.

“I cried because I realized that there was a chance that my child would get the education he deserves — the one I could not afford to pay for,” she said.

Micheal was also awarded $260,000 in outside scholarships, in addition to those he received from the schools.

Before the May 1 decision day, Micheal will travel to each school to find out which one is the exact right fit for him. He plans to major in political science and minor in economics.

Way to go, Micheal! It’s great to see a hardworking person get the rewards they deserve. We wish Micheal all the very best in his studies and beyond.
