Nervous 10-year-old runs off stage in audition – returns to leave the crowd screaming

When the young Joseph Sheppard ran onto the stage of Britain’s Got Talent (BGT) he nervously told the judges he was 10 years old and that he would be singing.

After a few comments from the judges about how cool Joseph looked he told the judges he’d forgotten something and ran off stage, leaving everyone looking bewildered.

However, it wasn’t long before he was back wearing a leather jacket and holding his electric guitar.

The youngster from Dudley, England, wowed the whole stadium with his talented guitar playing and his amazing rock voice as he belted out Chuck Berry’s “Johnny B. Goode”.

His stage presence and confidence left the crowd on their feet and screaming for more.

After everyone had calmed down and returned to their seats judge David Walliams told Joseph he was going to be a star.

“You are so cool, you’re such a little dude and you’re very skilled. I think you’re going to be a huge star,” he said

Fellow judge Alesha Dixon added: “I’m so impressed, your stage presence was fantastic, you owned it in front of all these people. I loved every minute of it.”

And with praise from Simon Cowell, who also told him how much he loved his personality, Joseph sailed through to the next round of this year’s BGT auditions to compete for the top prize of just over $300,000.
