Speaking to the finalists of the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards he met a 14-year-old boy called Junior who was being recognized for the anti-bullying work he has done after being teased for dancing.
When William spoke to Junior, he told him that young Prince George also loves dancing and as parents they are encouraging it.
“George is doing dancing as well, he loves it,” Prince William told Junior.
He then revealed that it was a hobby close to his heart as his mother Princess Diana was always dancing. The much-loved princess died in a car accident in Paris in 1997. She never got to see her loving sons marry or enjoy her three grandchildren.
In the same conversation Kate revealed that William loved break dancing to which William joked: “Breakdancing is where I break myself”.
Even George’s little sister Princess Charlotte enjoys dancing, William revealed in a previous interview.
Prince William explained to Junior, who was a special guest at Kensington Palace, that dancing was one of Diana’s favorite pastimes.
“My mother always used to dance. She loved dancing. And if it’s something you love, you do what you love. Don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise. Keep at it,” he told Junior who said after how encouraged he was by the prince’s words.

It’s so wonderful that a love of Diana lives on in her grandchildren. She would have made a wonderful grandmother.
We hope these mini royals continue to do what they love to do — dance!
Please share for all the royal fans out there and in memory of the beautiful soul that was Princess Diana. Her memory will live on forever.
