Women in military costumes sing Vera Lynn classic – then special guests appear and everyone jumps up

With the U.K. talent show “Britain’s Got Talent” in its 12th season, you’d think the judges had seen and heard it all. But when nine women dressed in historical military costumes arrive on stage and sing a wartime classic the judges were blown away.

Wartime choir The D-Day Darlings made it through to the finals of the talent show and attracted huge support from the British public for their beautiful renditions of Vera Lynn classics such as “We’ll meet again.”

Alesha, David, Amanda and Simon studied the singers intently.

But for their performance in the season finale the audience was given a special treat; one which took them by surprise and made them jump to their feet.

The 40s themed wartime singing group started in 2008, originally as a trio, and grew from there adding more singers to help create even more beautiful harmonies.

The group, whose members have ties to the Armed Forces, stood in a V-formation ready to perform Vera Lynn classic “The White Cliffs of Dover” and the audience waved red, white and blue glow sticks back and forth.

These singing sensations not only left the audience and judges, including Simon Cowell, stunned by their glorious vocals but also had a special surprise at the end.

Half way through the performance red and blue confetti fell from the sky then, dozens of military veterans wearing their uniforms slowly made their way out onto the stage and the audience jumped to their feet for a standing ovation, while many couldn’t hold back the tears.

What a beautiful moment captured on stage. It’s so wonderful that these men and women, who sacrificed their lives for their country, are still honored and remembered after all these years. We will never forget!

Please share this talented performance with your friends and family.
