As ‘Dog the Bounty Hunter’ star Beth Chapman continues her brave fight against throat cancer, the family around her stays strong.
Thousands of fans have taken to social media to offer their supportive words and those people experiencing the same disease have also joined her to share similar experiences as a mark of solidarity.
She recently took to social media to share an emotional post with her many followers on Facebook.
The famous bounty-hunting wife of Duane Lee ‘Dog’ Chapman was first diagnosed with stage 2 throat cancer in 2017.
She underwent surgery and remained cancer-free for a year. Unfortunately the disease reared its ugly head in late 2018 and she was rushed to hospital to have more surgery.
Doctors extracted a cancerous tumor in her throat and she then checked herself out of hospital, despite doctors’ warnings.
Not letting her cancer battle get in the way of the holiday season, she posted a number of pictures on social media of her enjoying some Christmas traditions with her family.
Then on January 2, she marked the new year by uploading a photo of her home decorated for the holidays.
The world has become a lonely place
She captioned the photo with a very profound comment about her perspective in life.
“My house is a safe zone. Coffee can be on in minutes, and I’ve always got cold water, a glass of wine, a shot of whiskey, or a cold beer. My table is non-judgmental.
“Any family or friend who needs to chat is welcome. We can talk, share a laugh, a cry, or just listen. If you’re hungry, I’ll feed you.”

Beth continued her comment with an important sentiment,
“This is an old-school value that has been lost to technology… A text, facetime, gif, or emoji is NOT the equivalent. I’m hoping at least one friend copies this and posts it if you feel the same. I just did from another friend. The world has become a lonely place.”
Biggest battle
It may seem like a cry for help or an appeal to all those friends and family around her to come together as she endures such a difficult time.
Whatever the reason she continues to battle with bravery and courage. Meanwhile, her devoted husband has admitted that he is struggling with the diagnosis and admits to crying “all the time”, as he struggles with the comprehension that this isn’t simply a bad dream.
In an interview with US Weekly Dog, 61, said after surgery Beth left the hospital against the doctor’s advice as she just wanted to return to Colorado and be with her family.
“They told us they didn’t want her to leave the hospital, but she was adamant, she just wanted to be home,” he said.
Fans and followers responded to her important message with many supportive comments.
Dee Bannan said, “I’m not any good at all the ways to put that message out, but I did share it with people on my circle, and I hope it gets out there like that. And by the way, Mrs. Chapman, if ever I get my bucket list accomplished, I’m gonna take you up on your offer of a cup of coffee.”
Sheri Hagar added, “Beth, you are a truly amazing woman who has given so much of yourself to others, it’s time others give to you. You truly are a blessing from God. Never give up; family and friends are a wonderful gift to us all, much love from me to you.”
On December 25, Chapman posted a stunning image of herself with the world famous bounty hunter which said, “Merry Christmas from our house to yours.”
Proving that she isn’t letting cancer get in the way of her enjoying the festive season to the full she also shared a picture of herself with a delicious-looking cocktail and the words:
“Last Saturday of shopping before Christmas. Good luck to all of you who wait till the last minute… We’ll be over here at the martini bar.”
This inspirational lady is showing the world that despite the dark days you should never lose your sense of humor.
