Our hard working police officers deserve all the respect in the world. They do everything in their power to keep us safe, they take on jobs that most of us couldn’t dream of doing – and they regularly risk their lives by stepping in to dangerous situations with no idea what’s there waiting for them.
And with the salary and terrible working conditions that most of them deal with, I think they definitely deserve more praise than they receive.
These two police officers accidentally raided the wrong house in Ohio… and they weren’t counting on what was waiting for them there.
It was last Christmas that two cops in Ohio managed to end up in the wrong house during a raid.
But it ended up being the right thing to do.
Because when the officers walked into the living room… they couldn’t believe their eyes.
In a Facebook post that has received thousands of comments, we see the moment the police catch sight of this touching Christmas tree. It’s a tribute to all our brave police officers – covered in blue and silver Christmas balls.
“The owner took the time to write down every Officer killed in the line of duty this year and place it on the tree. Not only did she do all the humans but she included all the K9s on the small ornaments,” write the police officers, and continue:
“She calls it the “Tree of Honor” guess our paths were meant to cross since she just finished it last night.”
The beautiful gesture is exactly the kind of support our brave officers need. It wasn’t long before the “Tree of Honor” began attracting praise in the comments.
“Wow. That is one awesome woman. The tree is beautiful, but I think it has enough ornaments on it. Hoping she doesn’t have to add any more,” wrote one Facebook user.
“Such a beautiful tribute it’s unfortunate we live in a world with so much hatred for law enforcement but seeing things like this tree makes be believe that there are people in this world that do respect law enforcement,” adds another reader.
It definitely seems like these officers were supposed to end up in this house and to see how many of us stand behind them and appreciate the incredible work they do. Share this article if you also want to honor all the fantastic officers working to keep us safe! Published by Newsner. Please like.
