Man spots mice in his yard but instead of reaching for a trap, he builds them a village

Simon said the two mice, he named George and Mildred, loved their new village so much they moved the family in!

Simon built the little mice a home made up of old fruit, vegetables, and props from around his house, according to the Facebook page devoted to pictures of these adorable creatures in their very cute setting.

George and Mildred even have a baby, called Mini, and manages to keep them in a certain place with nuts and berries so he can get just the right photographic results.

Simon has grown very attached to this cute family and has even thought of nearby predators that could harm them.

“Knowing there are cats just over the fence I thought I would give them a little more safety so collected some logs and made them a log pile home,” he said, according to an article in the Daily Mail.

He’s turned these gorgeous images into a calendar for all this family’s Facebook fans.

He added: “The mice are very trusting and know I mean them no harm. I love nature so am happy to live alongside such cute creatures.”

Apparently, Mildred is looking very pregnant, according to Bored Panda, and considering mice can have up to 14 babies, Simon may be building some more houses for his furry friends.

Simon said: “The mice are still here and living a very happy life. It is winter now, so the days are shorter and they come out less often. Once it gets dark, it can be hard to see them. However, I see them come out in the day for food and it is always all gone by the next morning. I also give them handfuls of feathers from an old pillow and they take that to line their beds inside and keep them warm on these cold UK winter nights.”

What a wonderful way to embrace wildlife and share some wonderfully cute shots of these mice, who are clearly happy in their luxurious surroundings. Please share this story with all the wildlife fans out there.
