Ada, 98, moves into retirement home – to be closer to 80-year-old son Tom

No matter how old you get, you’re never too old to need your mom. 98-year-old Ada and son Tom, 80, are living proof of this.

Last year, mom Ada moved into retirement home Moss View in Liverpool, UK. Not because she needed to, but because she wanted to be there to support her son.

“You never stop being a mum,” she says, moving the whole world.

Ada Keaton had her first son Tom when she was 18 years old. Since then, they’ve had a strong bond that can’t be broken, not even in old age. After Tom had lived in retirement home Moss View in Liverpool for a year, Ava moved in to look after her son and give him extra support.

“I say goodnight to Tom in his bedroom every night and I come back to say good morning,” Ada tells newspaper Liverpool Echo.

“They watch Emerdale together”

Staff at the home are transfixed by the mom and son’s unique bond. They explain that they usually play games and Watch soap opera Emmerdale together.
“It’s very rare to see mothers and their children together in the same care home and we certainly want to make their time together as special as possible,” says Phillip Daniels, care home manager.

The power of a mother's love. Such a heartwarming story. 😍
