It is not always possible to get on with our neighbors, whether it’s noise, rudeness or just general disregard for other people’s property, it can be a nightmare situation for some.
I always feel very sorry for those people that get stuck living next door to nightmare neighbors; often there is no official path they can take in dealing with them and sometimes have to take matters into their own hands.
One man was sick of his neighbors destroying his fence and shrubs with their cars so decided to take matters into his own hands.
His actions left 8 cars wrecked and the neighbors wishing they’d listened to him in the first place.
The daughter of the family Miha shared the perfect revenge story on the Reddit page r/ProRevenge, and it’s a story of entitlement and indifference that goes back decades.
Miha, from the Balkans, in southeastern Europe, says the family had been in a dispute with their neighbors over a private road for decades.
Plants ‘completely destroyed’
“One day my neighbors order a massive truck filled with tons of wood. The truck driver runs over our fence. Nobody wanted to pay for the damage. Our fence is made out of multiple bushes, trees and a little bit of metal fence too” Miha writes.
“These plants were now completely destroyed and a part of metal fence completely bent. We had to replant these plants and place a new metal fence. My father told me this was not the first time this happened but actually third. I couldn’t believe it when I heard this.”
Miha said her dad, a police officer, installed plastic barrels filled with rocks so the neighbors would hit those before they hit their front yard destroying the fence and plants.
‘Smell our flowers of victory’
But that didn’t seem to stop them and when the barrels were completely destroyed Miha said her father “changed his petty revenge into a pro-revenge.”
She said he then ” bought cement, sand and metal poles. One peaceful afternoon my father and I cemented that whole part of the land and placed some lovely flowers on top. So, when they hit the concrete they can smell our flowers of victory/defeat.”
The neighbors saw the flowers but had no idea there was concrete behind and ended up wrecking five of their cars, in addition to the three already damaged by the rock-filled barrels.
Miha said she told her dad she had posted their story online and he was scared at first but “then I told him you all supported him. He was then more proud of his plan :)”
Do you think he did the right thing, or should he have done something else instead?
