Apart from Christmas, birthdays were the days I looked forward to the most when I was a kid.
I always had a hard time falling asleep the night before and woke up a long time before Mom and Dad came in and sang with breakfast on the bed.
(Of course I would always pretend to sleep, so I wouldn’t disappoint them)!
Someone who was really looking forward to his birthday this year is Buzz. He would finally get to celebrate his birthday with his wife and all six of his daughters.
Everything Went according to plan. At least, until it was time to blow out the candles.
When the family broke into a happy rendition of ”Happy Birthday” it was finally time, and Buzz took a deep breath in preparation.
He managed to blow out all the candles, but there was one thing neither he nor his wife had counted on.
