Kid Rock delivers bone-chilling tribute to fallen heroes

Kid Rock has been an adamant supporter of our nation’s military for a long time.

Over the years, Rock has performed on numerous times for service men and women overseas in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait and Kosovo.

He is also deeply involved with Operation Homefront, an organization which provides financial assistance to soldiers, the families they leave behind when deployed, and wounded warriors.

Recently, Rock teamed up with Nova Scotia rock band ”The Trews” for another emotional tribute to our troops called “Highway of Heroes.”

The song is sung from the point of view of a fallen soldier who is being brought home after being killed in the war.

”The Trew’s” lead singer, Colin MacDonald, sang the first verse and chorus, which sets up the moving story.

In the second verse, MacDonald sings:

I served without question, o r personal gain/Seek no justification, It’s not part of my story/And it offers n o comfort to the ones who remain .”

Although the song’s narrator has passed away, he doesn’t want his family and friends to try to justify his death, no matter how hard it may be.

Then, Kid Rock joined MacDonald on the second chorus and it definitely will give you chills.

For me, their harmonies singing the heartbreaking lyrics brought tears to your eyes.

Rock shared the video on his Facebook along with the caption:

We don’t have to wait for a holiday to thank our service men and women. Take a moment to thank a veteran or service member today .”

Watch the lyric video for “Highway of Heroes” below – brings a tear for sure!

Awesome song. Touching, patriotic, and soul wrenching. Powerful words and feelings. Love it!

Please share this beautiful song if you also loves USA.
