Every now and then I come across a story online from a fast-food restaurant where something unexpected happens. It can be an incredible rescue effort, say, if someone was choking — or just a simple and wonderful act of kindness.
This is one great example I just had to share. Jamel Young works at a Chick-fil-A in the US. On Veteran’s day, Jamel decided to pay tribute in his very own, unique way — by standing up in front of all the guests and singing.
It was as close to a Susan Boyle moment you can get, because I suspect no one believed that this man would possess such a wonderful voice! He aptly chose to sing “Proud to be an American”, which of course, so many Americans can relate to.
Jamel headed towards the exit and made it his stage, where the whole restaurant could see — and hear him — very clearly…
The fast food chain guests immediately turned around and they would, for a few moments, forgot all about their food.
