Reggae star and much-loved musician Bob Marley wrote so many songs that are instantly recognizable. They never fail to raise a smile on people’s faces as the reggae beat kicks in and that soulful voice starts to sing.
So to cover a Bob Marley song is no mean feat for some. However French youngster Mélia wasn’t lacking in any confidence when she started singing in front of the celebrity judges on the French “The Voice.”
As soon as the musical introduction of Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song” began to play, the jury got excited. Then she opened her mouth and the whole studio exploded with joy and excitement.
Sometimes you just know immediately that you’re hearing the voice of an angel.
The camera switches to her relatives back stage who are just bursting with pride and happiness as Mélia shows off her amazing voice.
Just three seconds into her singing all four judges reach for their red buzzer indicating they all want this talented songstress for their team!
When you hear her performance you’ll understand why. By the end of it, everyone is on their feet and her relatives back stage are crying.
