In 2011, Casey Anthony was acquitted of murdering her 2-year-old daughter named Caylee.
The death of two-year-old Caylee Marie Anthony attracted national and international coverage.
Casey Anthony, 33, was found not guilty of the murder of her child, after the two-year-old’s skeletal remains were found with a blanket inside a trash bag in a wooded area near to her home in Florida.
Eight years later this case still attracts media attention as the exact cause and how this youngster died is still unknown; many theories are still being put forward.
But now Casey Anthony’s father George has been interviewed by Dr Oz and has revealed the possibility that his daughter Casey could have more children.
Prosecutors, who sought the death penalty, alleged that Casey used chloroform on her daughter and suffocated her by putting duct tape over her mouth and nose.
The case against Casey was closely watched by millions but ultimately the state could not prove how little Caylee had died, which ultimately led the jurors unable to convict Casey, according to Judge Belvin Perry.
Since then, her case has been the subject of many documentaries and crime TV shows.
In 2017, Casey Anthony famously told the Associated Press she wasn’t sure if she was “dumb enough” to have more children.
‘I can’t trust her’
But, Casey’s defense team alleged that Caylee accidentally drowned in the family’s pool.
Ultimately she was aquitted of the most serious of charges and to this day we still don’t know what really happened.
Now, in an interview with Dr Oz, Casey’s father George revealed that he and his daughter don’t speak and that he no longer “trusts her.”
Oz asked Anthony’s parents what they think happened to Caylee.
Anthony’s mother, Cindy, said she thinks that her granddaughter accidentally drowned in the family pool. Then Casey lied to cover up her death.
George said he thinks Caylee was given some type of medication and died of an accidental overdose.
He also revealed that his daughter is dating someone, that it is serious, and she could have another baby.
“Knowing now that she could potentially possibly be a mom again, I hope she does better this time around than what she did last time. I hope whatever life she has left, that she makes something positive happen in her life,” George said.
‘I hope they are going to love her’
“If she is granted a chance to have another child, I hope the child is strong, grows up to be a worthwhile part of society, and the person that she has the child with, I hope they are going to love her and the child immensely.”
He said that if his daughter does go on to have more children he probably wouldn’t be a part of their lives.
