Coffee shop owner puts up genius sign to teach rude customers manners — and it works immediately

Austin’s solution was simple: the politer the customer, the less they pay for coffee. The sign outside the cafe says:

“Small Coffee”
$5

“Small Coffee, please.”
$3

“Hello, one small coffee, please.”
$1.75

The coffee shop’s new prices help customers remember that the baristas behind the counter are human beings with feelings.

“I decided because I need to solve all the injustices of the world to start charging more for people who didn’t take the time to say hello and connect and realize we’re all people behind the counter,” said Simms.

It only took a day before Austin’s new prices became world news — with journalists and photographers flocking to the cafe.

Austin never expected his new prices to attract such widespread attention — he just wanted his customers to be a little nicer!
