Shemar Moore is best know for his role as photographer Malcolm Winters in hit TV show “The Young and the Restless” for more than a decade.
His portrayal earned him numerous awards and he went on to play special agent Derek Morgan on CBS’s “Criminal Minds.”
But tragedy struck his sweet life when he lost his screen brother and close friend Kristoff St. John who died suddenly last month.
Now Moore is grieving again after losing his two best friends: his two British Bulldogs who have been with him for 12 years. They passed away within days of each other.
Kristoff St. John, who earned 11 Daytime Emmy awards for playing the role of Neil Winters, was found dead at his Woodland Hills home in California on February 3.
Shemar starred alongside Kristoff as his character’s half-brother on “The Young and the Restless,” and Shemar shared an emotional tribute following his friend’s death.
Just over a month later more tragedy struck the actor’s life again when in the space of a few days his beloved British Bulldogs died.
In an Instagram post entitled “Angels For Life” the 48-year-old actor revealed his canine companions had died.
“Moe died Tuesday night at 7pm. He was tired but went out beautifully and peacefully in his sleep. Shug died this morning peacefully next to me sleeping under the dining room table with him. He had tears in his eyes yesterday and clearly missed his PARTNER IN CRIME!!!!”
