After the dramatic cave rescue in Thailand, the first pictures of the boys in freedom are finally here.
The boys are waving and making the peace sign from their hospital beds. And in addition, their doctors have good news about their health, writes the New York Times.
On Tuesday, the last of the 13 Wild Boars, 12 boys between the ages of 11-16 and their 25-year-old coach, were rescued after two weeks in Tham Luang Nang Non cave.
The rescue in Thailand has touched a whole world. Now the first reports from the hospital have arrived — and they’re good.
“None of them are stressed. They took care of each other well in the cave,” Thongchai Lertwilairattanapong, from the Ministry of Health in Thailand, said, while noting that the boys lost an average of 4.4 pounds (2 kg).
Simultaneously, the first pictures of the boys in the hospital were released at a press conference.
“Everyone is strong in mind and heart,” hospital director Chaiwetch Thanapaisal said during a press conference.
