Brian Anthony Howe – who was the lead singer of Bad Company from the early 80s to mid 90s – has died at the age of 66.
He reportedly died from cardiac arrest.
According to TMZ, Howe passed away Wednesday at his home in Florida. One of his relatives told TMZ that the famous singer died possibly on his way to the hospital.
Brian, who became the lead singer for Bad Company in 1983, had a history of heart complications. In 2017, he suffered a heart attack.
Brian was born in Portsmouth, a port city in England and he rose to fame when he replaced Paul Rodgers as the lead vocalist for Bad Company.
The band’s most successful album, Holy Water, was released in 1990.
It was mostly mostly by Brian Howe and Terry Thomas and the album made the top 40 and attained platinum status. The most played hit song from the album was If You Needed Somebody.
Two years after the success with Holy Water, Howe made his last album with the group, called Here Comes Trouble.
He left the group in 1994.
”Leaving Bad Company was not a difficult decision. It had got to the point where nobody was contributing anything to songwriting and quite frankly, the band was getting very very sloppy live‚” he told media.
Howe then embarked on a solo career, but it never reached the level of Bad Company.
Howe was 66.
