The loss of famed Ellen DeGeneres’ DJ Stephen “tWitch” Boss has been felt keenly by people all over the world.
Earlier this week it was reported that the producer, dancer, and entertainer’s body had been found in a hotel room – allegedly after he died by suicide.
Now, his wife of nine years – with whom Boss only recently celebrated a ninth anniversary – has spoken out to pay tribute to her late husband.
According to tragic reports in TMZ, Boss died by suicide, leaving behind a loving wife and three kids.
Alarm bells were reportedly first raised when the DJ’s wife, Allison Holker, ran into a Los Angeles Police Department station, screaming that her husband had left home without his car and all the indications were that something was wrong.
Later that same day, authorities were contacted by a nearby hotel who reported that they had found DJ’s lifeless body in one of their rooms.
As per TMZ, Boss is said to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He leaves behind a wife and three children.
Fans will recall how the DJ rose to fame through his exploits on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Boss started there in 2014 but stayed with the show until its end. Ellen even made him an executive producer.

Outside of his work with Ellen’s show, Boss was a choreographer, actor, and television producer. He also finished runner-up on the 2008 season of So You Think You Can Dance.
Tragically, Boss and his wife just recently celebrated their nine-year anniversary together.
On Wednesday, Holker confirmed the passing of her beloved husband, sharing in a statement: “It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us.”
She went on: “Stephen lit up every room he stepped into.
“He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.”
The statement continued: “To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt.
“I am certain there won’t be a day that goes by that we won’t honor his memory. We ask for privacy during this difficult time for myself and especially for our three children. Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you.”
Naturally, many high-profile figures in the entertainment industry share his wife’s grief. Ellen DeGeneres, who worked so closely with Boss for many years, wrote on Twitter:
“I’m heartbroken. TWitch was pure love and light. He was my family, and I loved him with all my heart. I will miss him. Please send your love and support to Allison and his beautiful children – Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia.”
It’s vital to remember that just because someone puts on a brave face and seems to be happy doesn’t mean they’re not struggling. Rest in peace, Stephen Boss.
