An Indian woman was almost raped by her own husband right in front of their child.
In the hearing, the woman stated that her husband would abuse her regularly when he was drunk but when he tried to do it in front of their kid she had enough.
In an act of self-defense, the woman raised a knife and attacked her husband where it hurts the most — his penis.
Now she has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Metro UK reports that the husband, who is in his 40s, would sexually harass the woman every time he would come home drunk.
The woman had endured a lot of abuse over the years but having it happen in front of their kids was the last straw — she refused to just that let that happen.
The woman recounted to the police what happened that night and told them how she grabbed a knife and cut her husband’s penis off. The man was then taken to the hospital where he was treated for multiple serious injuries.
Suspicion of attempted murder
The woman is now being faced with possible charges of murder but is asking the police for mercy, explaining that she was just protecting herself in an act of self-defense.
The 40-something-year-old-man has since been in care at a hospital but it’s unknown if the doctors were able to sew his genitals back.
