Ladies and gentlemen: BBQ season is almost upon us!
I know it may not feel like it, but soon spring will be in full swing, and I’m sure that any real grill master is firing up the BBQ as we speak!
In my book nothing beats some juicy grilled burgers, but not everyone knows how to achieve the tastiest possible BBQ hamburgers.
For example, did you know that an ice cube can work wonders for your BBQ?
Here are 5 brilliant tips that you have to check out for 2018!
Ice cube trick
Ice cubes on your burgers? Really? Doesn’t sound like it’s going to perform wonders, right? Well, I promise you it is.
Next time you’re grilling some burgers, try placing an ice cube in the middle of the burger while it’s cooking.
Adding a little butter while they’re cooking also works well. It makes the meat jucier! You can thank me later…
Only use half the grill
This is a mistake that many people make, time and time again. I’m sure you’ve been to a BBQ party where your host has seriously over grilled the meat.
Which is really undesirable, as the meat becomes dry, hard to eat and tasteless.
Instead, place coal on just one side of the grill and let that side heat up, while leaving the other side cold. You can place the cooked meat on the ‘cool’ side of the grill when the meat is finished. That way, the meat stays warm and fresh, but doesn’t overcook.
Salt your fish
Here’s a little forgotten old wive’s trick that still works wonders:Soak fish in salt water for 10 minutes before throwing them on the grill.
This stops the fish from falling to pieces on the grill. Pretty smart, huh?
Use apple juice
My dad used to keep a little apple jiuce in a spray bottle and “shower” the meat while it grilled. My first girlfriend thought he was crazy, but actually my dad was a grill master.
This little tip brings out both the taste and the tenderness of meat. So before you rush to the store for some BBQ sause, check whether you have any apple juice in the fridge!
Grill ahead of time
A true grill master always prepares thoroughly, especially if you have guests coming over.
Rather than running around in a panic once your guests arrive, try grilling your meat a little ahead of time. That way you can concentrate on your guests and not worry so much about the grilling.
You can cook your hamburgers up to four hours before your guests arrive. Grill them until they’re nearly cooked, then you can throw them on the grill for the last few minutes when your guests arrive.
I think everyone should know these snart grill tips, so they can learn to be a true grill master!
