Kinley had enjoyed a night out with her friend at a concert on a cold night in Virginia. Despite the freezing temperatures and like most teenagers she left without her jacket — with no idea of the consequences of this decision.
After the concert the crowd rushed outside and amidst all the chaos she was separated from her friend and found herself alone, cold and without any means to get home.
What took the situation to a whole new level of panic for Kinley is that her friend had her phone, keys and wallet so she was completely stranded.
Unsure of where to go or what to do, the shivering teen saw a bus stop and decided to wait. There was Kinley, alone at night, wearing a tank top in sub-zero temperatures, without her valuables. But, little did she know her guardian angel was close by.
Local mother Felicia heard Kinley asking strangers for directions home and was worried about the stranded teen who was alone and clearly cold.
Felicia was so concerned that she literally took the coat off her own back and gave it to Kinley. Felicia waited for Kinley’s bus to arrive, put Kinley on it and talked the bus driver into letting her ride for free. The two strangers exchanged names, but nothing more.
So bowled over by this stranger’s kindness, Kinley took to Facebook to find this wonderful human being. She posted:
“I completely forgot to give this woman her coat back and give her the sincere thanks and utmost gratitude she deserves. This woman without knowing a single thing about me showed complete generosity, compassion and humanity. I have to find this woman and I won’t give up until I do.”
