Carlos Carrillo, a plumber from Robstown, Texas, was on his way to work one morning with his colleague when he noticed something in a ditch at the side of the road. He slowed down his car to investigate further.
It was a dog!
He immediately stopped the car and got out to help the poor pooch.
As the two looked closer, they made a terrible discovery: the dog’s mouth had been bound with silver tape and he had been tied up with tubing. The dog had then been dumped in a ditch by some monster!
The plumbers wanted to save the dog from its death sentence and immediately went to work using their tools to free the dog. At the same time, they realized they needed to handle this poor dog with care.
After releasing the desperate dog, they immediately went to Peewee's Pet Adoption, a nearby no kill shelter. The dog was not at all aggressive considering what it had been through. He clearly knew he had been saved!
His gentle temperament was good news for staff who are trying to find him a loving home.
The rescued pooch was in good health despite having heartworms, which he is being treated for. While the vet was treating him she noticed that he never stopped wagging his tail! This dog is desperate to be loved.
It's terrible how anyone could just dump him and leave him to die in such a heartless way! He is lucky to have been found and is now being treated with the love and respect he deserves.
