Police called out to save helpless creature trapped – watch when the camera reveals what it really is

Police get called out on all sorts of weird and wonderful jobs and this was no exception.

Officers from the Massachusetts Environmental Police were called out to an animal trapped in a rather embarrassing predicament.

The animal’s hind legs were on one side of a porch railing in Weston — and the rest of its body on the other side.

Thankfully the officers took a caring approach and acted quickly to save this animal, writes The Dodo.  But,  the animal was difficult to identify at first.

The animal was trapped with no sign of being able to free herself.

At first glance, one might think that it was a curious dog exploring someone’s yard but it turned out to be a coyote.

Officers believe that curiosity got the better of her when she went sniffing around somebody’s porch and then must have got frightened away.

Not all people like coyotes as they consider them predators. Thankfully these officers took a different view.

Instead, they did everything in their power to free the animal. And finally they succeeded!

“Once freed, the coyote ran off without issue.”
