I’m close to being 1000% sure that I’m not the only one who suffers from tiredness at work.
Sometimes you can go to bed early, do all the right things in order to get a proper night’s sleep, and then be left tossing and turning until the early hours because your body simply won’t switch off.
But what if getting the hours in before work was no longer a problem? Well, there’s certainly such a solution just around the corner, if the 1.6 S.M. of Life Desk is anything to go by.
In essence it’s a work desk that doubles up as a bed. That’s right, a bed for the office …
Greek designer Nancy Leivaditou came up with the idea while she was living and working in a cramped New York apartment.
Made of lacquered wood, metal, and white leather, it’s suitable not only for a working environment, but also stylish enough for a home.
Now, here’s the kicker … the design is just a prototype at this point, but could well become a reality in the future.
Picture the scene: You’re tired, hungover, stressed/all of the above … the office is quiet and you’re ahead on your work. What could be better than settling down for a well-earned snooze?
I don’t know about you, but I could definitely do with a desk that doubles as a bed!
