11-week-old baby grows a ‘fang’ tooth overnight

When young children get their first teeth, it is always a painful time for them.

And a mom instinctively knows when there is something wrong with her baby; for first time moms they may not trust their instinct but it’s there and most parents learn to trust it over time.

For Tara O’Byrne, Oscar was her second child and after 11 weeks of being his mommy she had already got him into a good routine.

The sweet baby boy would usually wake up in the morning, Tara would give him a pacifier and he would go back to sleep, but on this particular morning that didn’t work and he continued to cry.

It wasn’t until she got him up to feed him that she noticed something she found hard to believe.

It seemed her baby boy had grown a fang tooth overnight.

“I took him out and changed him but when I went to feed him, I found the tooth in his mouth. It had grown overnight,” Tara said, according to MSN News.

Tara immediately rushed her baby to hospital but didn’t quite get the response she was expecting.

Doctors spent time debating what it was, according to MSN News, so she took him to the dentist where his tooth was removed.

Now the tooth is out Tara says she can see the funny side.

“There were dentists coming in to take pictures of the tooth and everything. We took it home to show Oscar when he gets older,” she said.

We hope this sweet baby boy never has to endure any more baby fangs appearing, that must have been painful. It remains unclear on how little Oscar will develop in the future – and how well he can withstand garlic and sunlight 😉

At least he’ll have a funny story to tell when he’s older. Please share.
