Big brother shows what good brothers do best by comforting sick baby sister!

Although we might have mixed feelings about them on a day-to-day basis, siblings are truly a blessing.

I remember in my house the rule was always, “I can be mean to them, but no one else can.” Us siblings always looked out for each other, and now as adults we’re best friends.

But there’s one little guy who is most definitely first in line for the ‘Best Brother’ award!

5 year old John was at the hospital with 1 year old sister Clara, who wasn’t feeling very well. So John immediately stepped up to comfort his sibling, gently rocking her in his arms while she calmed down.

Luckily, mom Danielle caught the beautiful moment on video, and you just have to see it for yourself.

I couldn’t help but share this heart warming moment with you. I hope once you’ve watched the clip you’ll share it with your friends, too!

Little Clara Davis has achondroplasia. The condition is the most common form of dwarfism and occurs in around 15 000 to 40 000 newborns, according to government agency Genetics Home Reference.

Mom Danielle Davis posts regular updates about Clara and the rest of the family on her Instagram page, where she reported that 1 year old Clara was feeling much better the day after her doctor’s visit.

Big brother John had been begging his parents for a sibling for more than a year, reports ABC News. His wish came true when baby Clara came along, and as the clip below shows, he has definitely taken his big brother responsibilites seriously since then.

“The kids adore each other,” proud mom Danielle tells ‘Good Morning America’, and continues:

“He can always make her laugh. They have their moments of jealousy, but ninety percent of the time they are very loving towards each other.”

You just have to see the adorable clip for yourself below:

I don’t know about you, but I think big brother John deserves a ‘Brother of the Year’ award! If you think so too, don’t forget to like and share this article!
