Shop assistant stops when 2-year-old has a tantrum: Her actions are caught on camera and have lit up the internet

With the whole store watching you as you negotiate your emotional child, not everyone is going to understand. But if one person offers a helping hand or a kind word, it can make all the difference.

A perfect example of this is a wonderful lady called Liliana, who works at Target, in Wilmington, USA.

Brianna Lelos was shopping in the store with her toddler daughter, who was not particularly happy about the shopping trip and decided to have a meltdown — in the middle of the store.

Her toddler’s unhappiness escalated into lying on the floor and screaming, much to her mom’s frustration.

Instead of just standing and watching, Liliana thought she would try to make it easier for the stressed mother.

She went and sat next to the screaming child on the floor and waited with her until she had calmed down and was ready to return to her mother again.

Brianna was so impressed and pleased with Liliana’s help that she chose to share the event on Twitter. There she also praised Target for having such good and understanding staff.

Taking care of a child who is having a tantrum is never easy and most parents’ worst nightmare.

Next time you see someone in a similar situation. Instead of shaking your head and looking away, show some compassion and offer a helping hand if it’s needed.
