Even though your neighbors might not always be nice, you should be nice to them. After all, it’s the holiday season and Christmas is almost here.
One moving example of how neighbors should treat each other is a wonderful ad from a department store in New Zealand called Farmers.
Even though it’s a commercial, I had difficulty holding back my tears.
It’s a reminder that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.
The short video starts with an elderly man peering out the window at his neighbors.
He seems angry and irritated. But in truth, he’s got a heart of gold.
When the man’s neighbor gets angry with her son for breaking a coffee pot, the old guy buys a new one. He blows some dust on it to make it look used and pretends to be about to throw it away just as his neighbor passes by. But instead of tossing it, he asks the woman if she wants it.
Then, the old man sees another neighbor struggling to cool his newborn baby in the heat. He buys a new fan, puts some cobwebs on it and sets it out on the burb for the new dad to find.
But the best part of the video is the ending. The old man doesn’t think anyone knows about his secret mission, but in fact, one person is onto him. But I won’t reveal who…
