Full House star Candace Cameron Bure tells it like it is after 22 years of marriage

Candace Cameron Bure is a writer, producer, and actress best known for her role as Donna Jo “D.J.” Tanner in “Full House“, a show that ran for 8 years.

The same year the show ended she met NHL hockey star Valeri Bure at a charity hockey game and married him two years later.

As they approach 22 years of marriage Candace reflects on the ups and downs of married life and reveals what has ultimately kept them strong throughout the years.

From her social media posts it’s clear these two share so much love but she admits it hasn’t always been smooth sailing. Candace credits her strong faith to her successful marriage.

Candace got real about her marriage in a recent social media post saying:

“There have been several tough years, in a row, ups and downs, bad attitudes and bad decisions, but we’ve persevered. We rode them out. We loved each other through them. We kept the focus; God’s glory. We are both better for it.

“I’m so grateful and thankful for the man I married. Neither of us are perfect, far from it, and will continue to make mistakes because we are human. But God’s Word and His grace see us through – striving to be the best of ourselves in Him. To God be the glory.”

It’s pretty simple for me this year- I’m thankful and grateful to be home with my husband and children 🧡💛🧡💛 and surrounded by family and friends.

Two years after the couple married they had their first child, daughter Natasha. In the four years that followed they had two sons, Lev and Maksim. Now their three children are all teenagers so I can’t imagine life is easy.

They credit their strong faith in God for giving them the guiding strength needed to raise three teenagers and to never lose sight of their own relationship.

‘Better with age’

Recently, Candace posted a picture of her with her husband on his birthday. They both wore shirts that made a bold statement about their faith, along with a message from Candace that revealed the truth about her husband.

“You’re like fine wine baby, so tasty and better with age.”

It’s always good to see a celebrity couple getting real about how tough marriage is. Gives us all hope that through the downs there are many more ups to enjoy.

Please share with everyone you think would appreciate these wise words from such a cute couple.
