Mom breaks up with boyfriend – 12 years later she hears a bump in the night and makes a terrifying discovery

What happened to single mom Tracy could have come straight from the pages of a horror novel.

The mother of five was rudely awaken one night to the sound of nails popping out of her bedroom ceiling and noises coming from her attic.

When she sent her eldest boys to investigate, they were shocked at what they discovered in her attic — this is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

Around 2:30 a.m. Tracy knew that something wasn’t right when she heard noises coming from her attic and nails popping out of her ceiling.

When she heard the noises she thought “there was some poltergeist stuff going on,” she told the Charlotte Observer, according to the Huffington Post.

Adult sons discovered her ex-boyfriend

Tracy sent her two adult sons and her nephew up into the attic to investigate.

There they discovered a man asleep at the back of the attic.

It turned out to be Tracy’s ex-boyfriend, a man she had broken up with 12 years ago.

As soon as he realized he’d been discovered he ran out of the house.

Watching Tracy

Her ex boyfriend had packed all of his coats and jackets into the heating unit and was sleeping in there.

Police were called to investigate and discovered that Tracy’s heating vents had been altered so he could look into her bedroom from the attic. They also found a number of cups filled with urine and feaces.

Officers suspected that he had been living in Tracy’s attic for around two weeks, and had probably gone there after being released from jail.

What horrified Tracy even more is the only entrance to the attic is through the house between her children’s bedrooms.

I can only imagine how scared Tracy is now after making such an unpleasant discovery. Thankfully she had boys that could investigate and at least get him out of the house.
