For most parents-to-be there is always the question of whether you should find out the sex of the baby. It is, of course, completely optional, but with the rise of gender reveal parties, it’s more common to know months in advance what you’re having.
Some couples would like to know if they are having a boy or girl as soon as possible, while others would rather wait and let it be a surprise on the big day.
There is no right or wrong way, and is of course up to each couple to decide for themselves!
But whether you choose to find out or not, most parents hope for a healthy baby, whatever the sex.
For one dad, he was ready for this sixth child to be a certain sex, given that his previous five had all been girls.
And although it was wonderful to be surrounded by so many girls, the father hoped that his sixth would be a boy.
However, the couple had decided to wait to find out the sex and the video below shows him at the birth.
Luckily, someone was prepared with a camera the moment the doctors revealed the baby’s gender to the couple. And the dad’s reaction … is just priceless.
The fact that this clip has had almost 3 million views on YouTube does not surprise me at all, this is just so wonderful to see.
The enormous joy he shows is felt by all parents, regardless of whether it’s a boy or girl, but the father’s reaction is one you’ll never forget.
