A young woman named Syd was trying on a beautiful evening gown and was hoping for some feedback. She sent the following picture texts, but she accidentally sent them to a wrong number.
What Syd didn’t expect was that even though she sent the photos to a complete stranger, she got a response! Dad, Tony, decided to ask his kid’s for their opinion since his wife wasn’t home. Their heartwarming response was absolutely adorable!
“I thought, let’s try and make this young lady’s day,” said Tony to Bored Panda. He gathered up his kids and together, they sent back a series of adorable texts.
“I figured that the childrens’ response would accomplish that substantially better than some middle-aged overweight bald guy!”
The texts are absolutely charming, but Tony and Syd had no idea the positive impact that their conversation would have.
As it turns out, there was one child missing from the photo of this adorable family. The reason that Mom wasn’t home that day was that she was a the hospital with their son, Kaizler, who was receiving treatment for cancer.
When the wrong number text exchange was shared on Twitter, it went viral. As an unexpected consequence, help for the family’s fund to pay for Kaizler’s treatment began getting more attention.
“Since this all started we’ve had over $3,000 donated,” Tony explained. “That’s more than we had donated in total over the last 2 years. It’s been amazing and is a bigger blessing than anyone could ever know. We were backed up to a financial wall. I’ve been working the entire time, but I was slowly but surely succumbing to the financial rigors of the situation.”
This story goes to show that a little bit of kindness goes a long way! We’re so glad things worked out the way that they did and that this kind family is getting some of the help they need!
