I haven’t met a single soul who wasn’t touched by the beautiful wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
They broke from the usual regal ceremony and captured their desire to be royals of the people perfectly.
With Meghan’s mom beside her gorgeous daughter the beauty of the day was overshadowed by media reports concerning Meghan’s father, who was absent from the occasion.
Now reports of a letter Meghan sent her father has emerged and it is proving to be a painful read from the hurt duchess.
The tabloids were littered with stories about Meghan Markle’s father Thomas and her half-sister Samantha Markle.
It seems they had a lot to say when it came to Meghan and not all of it was kind.
Samantha has been particularly harsh in her words about Meghan claiming shes ‘ignoring her family,’ according to a report in Cosmopolitan.
In a letter Meghan reportedly sent Thomas in August 2018, the duchess pleads with her father to stop.
Duchess Meghan writes, “Daddy, it is with a heavy heart that I write this, not understanding why you have chosen to take this path, turning a blind eye to the pain you’re causing.”

In the 5-page letter, published by the Mail on Sunday, Meghan tells her father that his actions have “broken my heart into a million pieces.”
Adding, “not simply because you have manufactured such unnecessary and unwarranted pain but by making the choice to not tell the truth as you are puppeteered in this.”
Father says sorry
If Meghan’s plea to her father is not heartbreaking enough his response then requests he and Meghan pose for a picture for the press.
He does say sorry but then says, “I wish we could get together and take a photo for the whole world to see.”
With the royal couple’s first child on the way, it seems like there is no reconciliation in sight for Meghan and her family.

Nobody knows for sure what goes on behind the scenes of a family, especially within the closely guarded royal family, but it would be nice to see these two reclaim their father-daughter bond, for the sake of the unborn grandchild.
