Woman loses future husband just months before their wedding day: Moving tribute has now gone viral

Planning a wedding is such an exciting time for everyone concerned as your loved ones look forward to a celebration of love.

Jessica Padgett was no exception as she poured over every detail for her upcoming wedding to the love of her life Kendall Murphy.

Their big day was set to take place on September 29, 2018. But then something happened that would change this excited bride-to-be’s life forever. Her future husband was tragically taken away and Jessica’s world came crashing down.

Jessica, from Indiana, had picked out her perfect dress, hired a DJ and even chosen the food for their wedding guests.

But just 10 months before her big day Kendall, a 27-year-old volunteer firefighter, was struck and killed. He had arrived at the scene of a car crash and while assisting a victim he was killed by an alleged drunk driver.

Kendall was “following his father and grandfather’s footsteps” by joining the service.

Paying tribute, the National Fallen Firefighters Association described Kendall as “a selfless man of God who loved spending time with family and friends,” according to the Express newspaper.

They added: “His wittiness would make anyone laugh and have him making friends in no time. He didn’t know a stranger.”

As Jessica grieved and tried to take in what had happened to her beloved fiance she realized there was something she still wanted, and needed, to do.

So her mom Katrina asked professional photographer  Mandi Knepp if she would do a photo shoot with Jessica — on the day she and Kendall were supposed to get married.

Mandi accepted and the images, shown in the video below, display a beautiful tribute to this man, who was also a former basketball coach.

In one photo showing Kendall photoshopped standing next to Jessica, the photographer writes: “She made broken look beautiful and strong look invincible.”

What a moving and beautiful tribute to a lost love who will always be remembered. We hope his memory and these images are some comfort to Jessica.
