Parenting is no easy feat. All parents have their own demons and troubles, and it can at times be rather difficult to set them aside when dealing with their children’s young, vulnerable minds.
But here’s a father who seems to have no problem at all when dealing with his young daughter.
It’s unclear what unfolded before mom grabbed her camera and began to film, but what’s certain is this is a dad we can all learn from.
A video recently emerged on Facebook showing a dad having a powerful talk with his daughter.
It’s obvious something emotional has just unfolded and dad has calmly sat her down for a talk. But what comes out of his mouth surprises even mom.
“I think I just watched and listened to one of the most powerful conversations in my life…” she later wrote on Facebook.

No yelling. No screaming.
Talking. Discussing emotions and why we have such feelings. HEALTHY outlets (walking, running, punching a pillow, etc)…
Getting down to the root of the problem. Setting boundaries, because feelings were upset. RESPECTING boundaries, to ensure it doesn’t occur again…
Parenting which neither of us had growing up. Listening ears as little ones speak. Knowing you are still loved no matter what. Knowing you are enough, always…
Our goals as parents are to ensure they do not endure what we did as children…
