With one ingredient from the kitchen you could help cut your time in the dentist’s chair

I’m probably not the only one who is anxious about getting into the dentist’s chair. Although I take care of my teeth, my dentist always finds something small to fix, and we all know how that feels when we get the bill.

However, my dentist visits have become less and less since I tried this natural method which helps reduce the bacteria in my mouth, giving me stronger, whiter teeth.

This trick is so simple, but so effective.

If you have never tried coconut oil then now is the time. It’s not just for cooking, you can use it to keep your teeth healthy.

Oil Pulling

Oil pulling or swishing is an ancient Ayurvedic medicinal practice used to detoxify the mouth, teeth and gums.

Developed more than 3,000 years ago in India, the Ayurvedic practice is one of the world’s oldest healing systems but is only now gaining popularity in the Western world.

This tried and tested method is thought to be able to draw toxins from the mouth and flush them from the body.

How to limit your time in the dentist seat

All you need is coconut oil, which contains vitamin E and fatty acids that have an antibacterial and antifungal effect.

Oil pulling or swishing involves rinsing your mouth with water and then swishing a tablespoon of coconut oil around your mouth for about 15 minutes.

It’s best to do this on an empty stomach but you should find yourself with a cleaner, healthier mouth.
