Crying toddler refuses to let grandpa shop, what he does outside the grocery store leaves one stranger shocked

At the end of a busy day dealing with energetic youngsters or demanding bosses or both, we all need a good laugh; something to help us escape the stresses of the day. Laughing is also good for our health as it lowers our blood pressure, reduces stress hormone levels and is good for our abs.

So what better way to relax than to find a comfortable spot and enjoy reading a funny tale about a grandpa and his trying grandson.

I think those of us that have children can all relate to this one: we’re trying to grab what we need at the grocery store and our children are being difficult. We’d give anything for just five minutes of quiet so we could get it over with as quickly as possible but instead we have to be very patient while trying to remember why we’re in the store in the first place!

Well I think you’ll be impressed with this grandpa’s method of dealing with his noisy 3-year-old grandchild — the story will have you laughing out loud.

A woman in a grocery store is following a grandpa and his rather challenging 3-year-old grandson.

It’s obvious to her that he has his hands full with the child screaming for sweets in the sweet aisle, cookies in the cookies’ aisle, and for fruit, cereal and soda in the other aisles.

Meanwhile, grandpa is working his way around, saying in a controlled voice,”Easy, William, we won’t be long. Easy, boy.”

Another outburst and she hears the grandpa calmly say, “It’s okay William, just a couple more minutes and we’ll be out of here. Hang in there, boy.”

At the checkout, the little terror is throwing items out of the cart and grandpa says again in a very controlled voice, “William, William, relax buddy, don’t get upset. We’ll be home in five short minutes; stay cool, William.”

Very impressed, the woman goes outside where the grandpa is loading his groceries and the boy into the car.

She said to the elderly gentleman, “It’s none of my business, but you were amazing in there. I don’t know how you did it. That whole time, you kept your composure and no matter how loud and disruptive he got, you just calmly kept saying things would be okay. William is very lucky to have you as his grandpa.”

“Thanks,” said the grandfather, “but I’m William. The little brat’s name is Kevin.”
