I think the worst chore has to be cleaning the bathroom. It’s unavoidable and probably the most uninspiring way to spend your time.
What makes it worse for me is the fumes of the cleaning products I have to inhale while cleaning.
Before all these effective bleach cleaners were available people used the very natural of products to clean and then passed these tips on to the next generation.
Unfortunately these great tips are often ignored over expensive and strong chemical cleaners.
One such tip I was told was for cleaning toilets, that thankless task that has to be done. I didn’t believe that such everyday and cheap products would work until I tried them.
Now I can’t believe I haven’t used this trick before. It’s so simple, yet so effective.
I think most of us agree that cleaning a bathroom is something we would rather not have to do. But if left, grime and dirt build up and then it’s even harder to clean.
However, with this tip you can tackle the dirtiest of bowls and see gleaming results.
All you need for a spotless toilet is a little vinegar and baking soda.
Vinegar is a powerful liquid that is also an environmentally friendly cleaning agent – working to get rid of bacteria and the build up of dirt.
Put a cup of vinegar into a spray bottle and cover the inside of the toilet bowl with it. You’ll start to see it taking effect even before you’ve begun scrubbing.
To get even better results leave the vinegar overnight.
Essential oil
The next morning or after spraying, add a tablespoon of baking soda and start scrubbing for a sparkling toilet bowl.
You can even add a few drops of essential oil for an even fresher toilet.
