Fourth grader Adam’s performance is spreading like wildfire – listen to his song choice and you’ll realize why

Summer is around the corner, and children and young people everywhere are ready for the long-awaited summer vacation. And as one last, fun event before the academic year is over, many schools are arranging talent shows where children can express their creative side.

But talent shows aren’t just about lip synching to modern pop songs. When fourth-grader Adam Kornowski sits in front of the piano, it’s not long before all the parents in the room start shedding tears…

Adam Kornowski, a student at Lakeside Elementary School in Chicago, might seem like an ordinary boy. But when his fingers start to glide over the piano and he opens his mouth to sing, it’s clear that he’s something special.

But not only that… Adam chooses to sing John Lennon’s beautiful “Imagine” from 1971. At a time that’s characterized by hatred and fear, this song more poignant than ever. It has a message of peace that hits you right in the heart. And when Adam sings it, it’s impossible not to be touched.

“There wasn’t a parent in the room with a dry eye by the end,” writes Adam’s mom, Michelle, on Facebook. “He got a standing ovation and the applause lasted forever!”

In just two weeks, the clip has been viewed 10 million times. When you see it, you’ll understand why. Listen and enjoy — and be prepared with some tissues!
