Who doesn’t love Willie Nelson? And who can believe he’s now 85?
The American icon had a significant impact on music in the USA for decades, stealing the hearts of millions.
He is best known for creating his own distinctive country music style, blending jazz, pop, blues, rock and folk into his music.
What I didn’t know is that his son, Lukas Nelson, is just as talented.
Lukas Nelson is the son of Willie Nelson and his current wife, Annie D’Angelo, whom he married in 1991.
Lukas now has his own band, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, often abbreviated to POTR, for which Lukas is lead vocals and guitarist.
But Lukas certainly also enjoys his dad’s old classics. In a special performance during a late-night “jam session,” Lukas took over the microphone and leaves everyone speechless as he belts out his father’s song, “Always On My Mind.”
