Young man’s autism is so severe he doesn’t speak – unless he hears a Josh Turner song

Music can unite people, create an understanding, and transmit feelings far better than any language.

In a world of diversity where often values clash, music leaps across language barriers and unites people of quite different backgrounds.

And this healing nature of music is exactly what was on display during a Josh Turner concert at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.

This special night country musician Josh Turner heard of a very special guest in the audience and did something incredible to make his night.

In the audience, Logan Blade was waiting for the concert to begin. Logan Blade was diagnosed with autism when he was just two years old.

Even if he needs around-the-clock supervision and struggles to vocalize his needs, his parents realized the young man could express himself through music.

Despite his serious communication problems, everything changes for Logan when he sings. Logan’s favorite singer is Josh Turner and it’s been his dream to sing on the Opry stage.

The Country music star made the dream come true when he invited him to join him on stage in a performance of his smash hit “Long Black Train.”

The video below begins with Turner describing how important the song ‘Long Black Train’ is to him. Logan steps onto the stage midway through the 2003 hit from the album of the same name.

The two of them sing the song as a duet and Logan sings with such skill you wouldn’t suspect his condition if you hadn’t been told prior!

We’ll let this heart-felt performance speak for itself…

That was awesome.

I’m so glad that this young man was granted his wish.

What a class act the Country Music world is and Josh Turner is exceptional. Blessings to them both!
