An elderly woman waits alone for a table in a restaurant – when a stranger immediately stands up

Getting a table at the hot restaurant in town can be difficult. It can sometimes feels like you always choose the time when everyone else wants to eat there. For some people it just isn’t worth the wait.

But for one elderly lady she wasn’t leaving until she ate at her favorite breakfast spot in Michigan, even if it meant standing all morning.

She was there alone and stood quietly and patiently among the noisy groups chatting at the door. Then one young man, who was already seated with his group of friends, got up and said something to her that made one group of ladies swoon.

Another diner Heather Leigh was watching the man and curiously followed his movements as he approached the lady.

What he said next to the waiting diner made her heart melt.

So we were out to lunch and it was super crowded. There were quite a few groups of people at the door waiting to be…

Heather was so impressed by the young man’s actions that she captured it on camera and shared it with her friends and family on Facebook.

She wrote: “Out of nowhere, this young man gets up and walks up to the lady and says, ‘I have three empty seats at my table, would you like to sit with me so you don’t have to wait?'”

The woman accepted and he pulled out a chair next to him.

Since then, this beautiful story has captured the hearts of all those who read it, and I can understand why.

“Cue the four of us at our table with our hearts MELTING as he ushers her over to his table and pulls out the chair next to him, not across from him, to sit down,” Heather writes on Facebook.

Heather could not stop following the conversation between the two and observed how at ease they were chatting with each other.

Here is the restaurant where it all happened.

Heather writes on Facebook some wise words: “With all the negative, hateful ridiculousness happening in our country, it was nice to see and be reminded that there are still good people out there among us.”

It’s the little things in life that make our world a better place to live in. This may certainly seem quite simple and insignificant compared with all the “big news” out there. But for the older woman at the restaurant this little gesture must have meant a lot.

Like and share this wonderful story with your family and friends. Let it be a reminder for them that it’s the little things in life that can make a big difference!
