1. Tiredness

We all feel tired sometimes – that’s normal . But if you’re so tired that normal activities such as grocery shopping feel exhausting, then it might be time to check out your health.

Loss of strength can show up as much as a month before a heart attack, according to a study published in Circulation.

If you suddenly feel out of breath or have no energy you should ask your dotor to check your ECG.

2. Chest pain or pressure

One of the most common signs of a heart attack is a sharp pain or pressure across your chest.

Chest pains can also cause pain in other areas of your body. Sometimes the pain occurs in your arm (most often the left armpit or arm), but you can also feel pressure in your throat, neck, jaws, back or stomach. The pain normally lasts for around 15 minutes.

3. Trouble breathing

Before a heart attack strikes, it’s common to experience difficulties breathing. This is often due to the lungs not receiving enough blood due to the arteries being blocked.

If you suddenly find it difficult to breath, you should contact your doctor immediately.

4. Exhaustion

If you often feel weak and exhausted, it could be because your muscles aren’t receiving enough blood. You should be extra aware of Chronic Fatique Syndrome, as stress can cause a heart attack.

5. Dizziness and cold sweats

Excessive sweating can be the first sign of a heart attack. If you experience this syndrome, you should contact your doctor.

Dizziness can be caused by decreased blood flow to the brain.

6. Flu/influensa

Are you plagued by a cough, cold and fever? Don’t panic, it’s often just a common cold.

However, in some cases these symptoms can come a month before a heart attack. Especially if you’re also experiencing many of the symptoms named above.

It’s important to remember that the symptoms of a heart attack can vary a lot between different people, especially between men and women.

7. Hair loss

Another early sign of a heart attack is hair loss. This most commonly affects men over the age of 50, but women can also be affected.

It happens due to a disrupted blood circulation in the brain, one doctor tells ABC News.

8. Irregular pulse

Arrhythmia, irregular pulse or an unusually high pulse may occur unexpectedly and last for 1-2 minutes. If it doesn’t return to its usual pace quickly then you could feel dizzy and exhausted. If this happens you should contact your doctor immediately, reports American Heart Association.
