Boxer hears woman’s cries for help; what he does next shows the world what a true Samaritan looks like

We all like to think that if we saw someone in need we’d stop to help and if we couldn’t we’d call for back up. In the case of fitness buff Bilal Quintyne he went above and beyond the call of duty when he answered the cries of a stranded woman.

In the soaring heat of Symrna, Georgia, the amateur boxer showed everyone what helping a person in need really means.

Bilal was out running one morning with a friend when he heard cries for help. A woman was stranded by the side of the road; her wheelchair had run out of battery as she was on her way to the store.

She told Bilal that she had no way of getting home and could he call her husband to come and help her. She also revealed that several cars had gone past her, ignoring her obvious need for help.

Rather than call for help, Bilal decided to lend her a helping hand — by pushing her all the way home himself.

“I don’t care what you’re going through,” he said in a video posted on Facebook. “When God calls you for help, you’re supposed to help. Period. Period.”

The video was uploaded to Facebook, where it has been viewed more than 3 million times.

“God blessed me with a able body. So WE pulled her home. A mile or not I wouldn’t go home until she was home. Period,” Bilal wrote on Facebook.

Once he’d pushed the woman all the way home, he got her settled in her house and asked if he could go even further to help her that day. “I offered to go food shopping for her, but she wouldn’t allow me,” he said. “She was crying, very grateful.”

What a kind-hearted man to push her all that way in such excessive heat without asking anyone else to assist. We need more people like Bilal in the world!
