A four year old walking is easy to take for granted. But when 4 year old Camden was born, he had no arms or legs.
Despite this, he hasn’t let anything stand in his way, and now he has achieved something that everyone thought would be impossible.
When Camden’s mom, Whiddon, was 18 weeks pregnant, she had an ultrasound that would change her life. It showed that the child in her belly had no arms or legs.
“When I first found out he wouldn’t have arms or legs, I thought that he would just be a vegetable … I didn’t know what to expect,” Whiddon tells People.
But Camden would soon prove that he was a stronger and braver little boy than anyone could have imagined. Even when he was just two months old, his mom knew he was special.
“When he was around 2 months old, I had him laying on my bed … I saw him out the corner of my eye and he was hitting the toys with his arms. I started to cry, I was just so happy and that confirmed that he was gonna be able to do things,” Whiddon explains.
Since that day, Camden hasn’t stopped amazing his parents. Now, the four year old has finally taken his first steps.
With Camden’s dad Cole standing in front of him encouraging him, he walked on his own for the very first time.
“I’m coming to you, I’m walking!” Camden laughed as he walked towards his dad.
When he reached his dad the whole family burst into cheers. The magical moment proved that Camden will be able to achieve whatever he wants, despite looking a little different from everyone else.
“We started crying, we were so proud,” Whiddon says.
Camden’s unbelievable success was caught on film and posted on Facebook.The clip has been seen thousands of times and people all over the world are celebrating Camden’s success.
