Creep attacks jogging woman in forest – immediately realises his mistake when she turns around

It’s a sick world we live in, where women have to be alert and worried every time they leave the house.

But that’s just the way things are, it seems. I don’t know a single woman who would feel comfortable walking alone in the forest in the evening – because although the majority of violence against women occurs in the home, the fear that a stranger will be waiting outside to attack you is constantly in the back of your mind.

This nightmare became a reality for one woman in Seattle. She was out for a run when she was attacked and subjected to an attempted rape. But this time, the attacker had no idea who he was attacking…

It was a normal Sunday afternoon.

Kelly Herron had gone out for her usual afternoon run, as she was training for a marathon.

But this particular run would be one that she would never be able to erase from her memory.

Kelly was 4 miles into her run when she stopped at a public toilet.

Suddenly, as Kelly stood by the sink, she was attacked from behind.

A man had hidden in one of the stalls and waited for a lone woman to come in so he could attack.

The man pushed Kelly to the floor and started to hit her. But today, the jerk wasn’t going to get away with his sick attack.

Rather than becoming frozen with panic and fear, Kelly’s adrenaline took over. She gathered all her strength and fought back.

“I fought for my life screaming, clawing his face, punching back, and desperately trying to escape his grip- never giving up,” Kelly writes on Instagram.

But that wasn’t all.

What the man didn’t know was that Kelly had recently taken a self defense class. Now she put all of her new skills to use… and overthrew her attacker.

She fought her way free, jumped to her feet – and managed to shove the man into one of the stalls and lock him in.

She kept the man locked there until the police could show up to arrest him.

“My face is stitched, my body is bruised, but my spirit is intact,” Kelly writes on Instagram.

The man was arrested and charged with attempted rape.

Kelly really has an unbelievable strength and a fighting spirit that proves that her body doesn’t belong to anyone else!
